Rainy Saturday

The forecast for the weekend is nothing but rain, but I didn't let that stop me from going on a little adventure! I headed to Williamsburg to check out the Renegade Craft Fair and say hello to a few of my friends in the NewNew. I also bought a truly unique necklace that I cannot wait to wear all summer long. It's perfect for every day! What did you do today?

Rainy streets of Greenpoint.

Don't let a little rain make you frown! Such a cute little bike bell.

Beautiful brick wall on Manhattan Avenue in Williamsburg. Also available in my shop.

Shop Makeover!

Lately I've been dreaming of warm weather, clear skies, and amazing vacations. To this day, my trip to Greece was one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had. Truly life changing. And now, you can have a little sliver of my memories by buying one these prints for your very own enjoyment. Prints now come matted and signed by the artist (me!). Fancy.

I've also spent the last couple weeks revamping the shop in hopes to appeal more to buyers. What do you guys think? Is it working?

A present from Spain

It's always nice to start your morning with a package full of earings. Earings from Spain to be exact. I bought them off of Etsy from this lovely lady. These are just one of the pairs I got. I love them, so simple. They are perfect for winter because they aren't long enough to get caught in my scarf. Oh the throubles of staying warm and fashionable.

Things I want...

... and you can feel free to buy me. :) I think all of these would really help in sprucing up my place. You can click any of the pictures and they will lead you to their shops.

This wooden read sign would look awesome on my bookshelf. Its made from recycled wood by Etsy seller William Dohman

I made some goals

So, I have been doing a lot of thinking lately about what I want from life and have made a few goals for myself to get me closer. Posting them makes it more likely for me to make progress towards attaining them.
  • Learn French. This is for two reasons. 1. I have always wanted to learn the language and 2. so I can move to Paris (which is hopefully a not so far fetched goal of mine).
  • Get 1000 page views on my blog in one day. I have a long way to go. Do that many people even care what I have to say? I guess we'll find out.
  • Make progress on the book ideas I have. The ultimate goal here is to get one published. I need to set aside time each week to work on this. Make a conscious effort.
  • Make time for myself, and not feel guilty about it.
  • Create a successful etsy shop.
  • Become an iMentor. I want to help someone and I think this is a way I would be good at that in NY.
  • Try a new recipe each week. I was doing really good at this one for a while, but I have slacked off.
  • Learn a way to express myself creatively. I like to try a lot of different things but I need to find one that works for me.
Now, if I just didn't have to sleep every day these goals would be a lot easier to complete. Looks like there is a lot of coffee in my future.

I love my bracelet, and my sister who bought it

So my sister got me the most beautiful, delicate bracelet for my birthday and I absolutely love it. And her, for purchasing it. Not only is it from my favorite website ever, ETSY.com, its just pretty. :) Its a simple hammered gold bracelet with a hook type thing bent in. I must buy more of them. Please ignore my freckled, old looking, overly dry arm that is sporting such a beautiful creation.
