A storm is coming!

One of the things I miss most about Florida is the crazy storms that can be a nightly occurrence. While I was home this past weekend I was lucky enough to catch this one while on a walk down the lake front. I love how you can just see the rain coming down. At the end of the walk it had moved completely past the boat house! Do not worry, no Rebels were harmed or drenched during this walk.

When it rains, it pours

It was a stormy night in Brooklyn last night, and I loved it. I have always liked storms - I think I get it from my dad. He would literally have to be dragged inside when it got too rough outside. And, by rough I mean huge trampolines flying into our pool, giant oak trees nearly falling into our screen room, that sort of rough. Somehow when Mother Nature seems mad at the world, I find a strange sense of peace in the rain, thunder and lightning. I had a very good night's sleep, and much needed.
