As a Carroll Gardens resident I take pride in my neighborhood and surrounding areas, even the not so pleasant ones. The fact that the nearby Gowanas Canal is "unbelievably highly contaminated with tar, PCBs, sewage, lead, mercury and arsenic" is very disturbing to me. I made a small step this morning to help change this and get the canal cleaned up. I was the 387th person to sign the petition in support of cleaning up the canal for a safer, healthier, less poluted future in the area. Do your part to help make progress and sign the petition. Your neighbors will appreciate it.

Help Save the Gowanas Canal
