And, I am rambling

This morning I somehow got to work an hour early. How does that happen? The whole morning I thought I was running late. Is it possible that I was so tired when my alarm went off to go to the gym I only reset it for 30 minutes later instead of an hour and a half cheating myself a much needed extra hour of sleep. Go figure. I was seriously wondering why the train seemed a lot emptier and there was no line at Starbucks. I guess I was just happy to get a seat on the train and not have to wait long for my Latte that I didn't really let it bother me.

I finally watched MILK. Sean Penn truly deserved his Oscar for playing Harvey Milk so brilliantly. I laughed, nearly cried, and felt so inspired. What Harvey Milk was able to do for gays and lesbians in this country is truly amazing. He makes me want to be a better person and help better society.

I cannot wait for summer. I have had a major case of Spring Fever during these last few days of February. I keep picturing pools, bikinis, floppy hats, the hot sun on my skin, not being ghostly and having a TAN. I need a vacation.

I admit that I am a nerd. I joined not one, but two book clubs. I wasn't sure which I would like better. For one of them the book we are supposed to read is Catch 22. I know this is a book that everyone should read and is a topic of discussion in many English classes. However, I cannot get past page 50. And, I have tried. Numerous times. I heard it was supposed to be funny, which is partly why I kept on trying, but I have not laughed once. I have only not finished one other book (The Notebook), but I think this one may be slotted into that category. So long Catch 22.
