Hard Day(s) at Work

It's always a special time when the US and French offices collide and we head North for a retreat up at the beautiful Mohonk Mountain House. It is always a blast when everyone gets together, and I wish we could do it much more often! While we let the good times roll with a nighttime hike, scavenger hunt, lobster bake, a little boat ride and SMORES (oh, and of course meetings), I must point out that this place is creepy. Steven King was inspired to write The Shining while he was staying at this joint. I was slightly disappointed when our ghost tour did not bring out any of our more pastey friends.

Group Shot after a slightly unsafe nighttime hike. Our tour guide told us not to use our cell phones for lighting and our eyes would adjust. I nearly broke my ankle immediately after.

Holy crap, I've been bloggin a year!

I can't believe it's been a whole year since I started this blog of mine. So much has happened to me in that time and I'm so happy to have it all written so that I can look back and remember all the smiles and laughs I've had. I've truly enjoyed all the comments and friends telling me how much they like reading my stories (It never gets old :) ).

In celebration of my year anniversary, I'm excited to tell you all that my job has stumbled upon this little diary of mine and decided to let me write for our official blog! I will soon be a professional blogger! I can hardly contain my excitement. Thank you job - you are the BEST.

Leaving, on a jet plane

So I've been pretty lucky. I have a really amazing job that sends me to all these fun locations. So far I have been to Little Rock, Chicago, Baltimore (OK, really Laurel), Los Angeles and Toronto. Upcoming trips should include San Francisco (August!), Paris and Montreal. I can't wait. Thankfully, cell phone carriers and gaming companies choose cool cities to set up camp. As I am writing this I am waiting to catch a flight back home from Toronto. The weather has been amazing compared to NY's piss-pour performances lately. Sunny and in the 80s - really perfect. I am going to miss it given the forecast in Brooklyn calls for more rain and dark skies. I am really looking forward to my trip to Florida in August. I need a beach. In a real bad way.
