Beautiful Sunday

Blooming Magnolias

Today was one of those days you are just happy to be alive. The weather was gorgeous. It was sunny and 65. I ate a sinfully delicious plate of pancakes from Cheryl's Global Soul. I walked through the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens with Laura. I planted my window garden of herbs. And finally, I stocked up on groceries at Trader Joe's. The best part was I ran all of these errands on my new bike. How did you spend your Sunday?

Dear MTA,

You have been good to me (excluding the times I have been subjected to men [yes that is plural] exposing themselves to me and the long late night waits) during my time in NY. Sometimes I love you, but today I do not. You are increasing my monthly transit expenses by a lot. I now will have to shell out $103 each month just to get to all the fun places that I go.

I am considering forgoing one month of the subway and using that money to purchase this bike. It already has a basket to hold my purse and lunch box. I can see me now racing the cabs up 6th Avenue. Let's hope I don't die in the process of being cheap.
