Baking Makes Mondays so much better...

And Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. After a particularly stressful Monday I came home and needed to bake. So, I made some delicious strawberry coffee cake. It was a little too light on the strawberry, and I preferred eating it with milk as opposed to coffee, but it was yummy. Despite setting off my fire alarm (while preheating!) for the second night in a row, the result turned my day around.

PS. Baking in the summertime in New York is hard. Those little window units do not hold up when challenged by the big bad oven.
